The rate at which group-buying is taking off in South Africa has caught the attention of many people. MyTrueSpark went in search of how many group-buying companies there are in South Africa to date. I managed to find a total of 37. This may seem like a fair number until one compares it with the United States which has a grand total of 439.

Looking back just over a year ago to January 2010, the sale ratio was 6 e-books for every 10 physical books. A few months later in October 2010, Kindle bestsellers outsold print bestsellers two to one. Then BAM! Out of nowhere, Kindle does a hit and run to claim the title of bestseller, when it overtook the combined sales of paperbacks and hardcover books all together.
