Once upon a time in an era not so far behind us having a degree secured your future and guaranteed you a successful career. With the rise of the internet and free information made widely available to us, more and more people are teaching themselves new things every single day. Coming from an academic background and having completed 2 degrees, I was adamant that having a tertiary education to fall back on was the ultimate requirement for all individuals. Having spent the last 4 years in digital, I am no longer 100% sold on the idea.
