Software Support Technician

Description

Our company requires a Software Support Technician to provide telephonic/email and diagnostic support. An understanding of the Internet and content management systems is required, as well as previous help desk experience.

Duties

  • Respond to telephonic and email inquiries concerning support requests.

  • Serve as an escalation point for difficult problems and complex inquiries.

  • Fast and effective problem resolution.

  • Delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • The candidate will be responsible for the ongoing functioning of the company’s internal systems and its users.

  • Software testing and issue tracking.

Requirements

  • Matric qualification essential.

  • Either an  IT Diploma, an A+, N+ or MCSE or equivalent qualification is essential.

  • 1 - 2 years experience in a Software support environment.

  • Solid working experience of Windows and Office applications.

  • Knowledge of basic Internet web services (FTP, web hosting).

  • Experience within a busy desktop support environment.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Own transport and valid driver’s license required.
