Brief
MiX Telematics needed a world-class website aiming to have the best in the industry. The objective of the website was to have one global site representing the MiX Telematics Group, and then various regional websites displaying more locally relevant information, but with common look and feel. A large focus on search engine optimisation was made from the start in order to improve the group's search rankings and support future online marketing initiatives. The site was built to scale as MiX Telematics grows, establishes new subsidiaries, and also allows MiX Telematics to manage it easily on their own, without having to rely on third parties.
Our Solution
The client required the regional sites to maintain the brand and corporate message. However, these sites needed to display different content and have a slightly different layout and functionality to the global site.
We achieved this using Platform's widget framework, which allows the user to customise all sections of their site, including sections traditionally forming part of the fixed site template. This gave the client the flexibility required to make each regional site unique while sticking to the corporate brand.
Strategy
Realmdigital developed the MiX Telematics website on the enterprise version of Platform, and incorporated some custom functionality that was specific to the client's requirements.
Realmdigital had a number of workshops with the client, advising them on best practices throughout the development process.
