Brief

The client required a competition application that allowed fans to submit a story about why they should win the competition. People could then vote for the best reason. The specific requirements were:

- You cannot vote for yourself

- A person can only vote for an entry once

- Once a person "submits" their reason to win, it automatically goes "live"  

A "share" button was also created to make publishing news about this competition to news feeds easy.

Our Solution

The competition application requires users to "like" a page before they can access it.

Pre-Like

The user then submits a story as to why they should win the competition. All fans can view stories that have been posted and comment on those stories. Fans can then invite their friends to enter the competition. The user with the most number of votes wins.

Strategy

Realmdigital worked on the Nivea project with Habari Media. Habari Media supplied us with all the designs, and we built the application using Facebook Platform. Habari Media were also responsible for all client liaison and management.

Facebook Platform was then used to create, manage, and edit the Nivea Facebook tabs. Facebook Platform was also used to export fan entries and comments in .CSV format.
