Brief
Prohire is a vehicle software reservations systems company based in the UK. They realised the pressing need for more vehicle hire companies to have an online reservations system instead of relying primarily on telephonic bookings. Prohire required software development that would allow existing brokers as well as 3rd parties to offer vehicle reservation services on their websites.
Our Solution
Realmdigital developed Proweb, a widget that offers online vehicle reservations using the Prohire system for quoting and checking vehicle availability. The widget was developed for existing Prohire vehicle reservation companies as well as 3rd parties. 3rd parties such as B&B’s and hotels could embed the Proweb widget on their website which would then offer vehicle reservation as an additional service to their clients.
These embedded widgets would then send the user’s requests to the Affiliate Data Network Centre. Requests would then be passed to partner networks that would then decide which affiliated partner would fulfil the vehicle reservation request.
The Proweb widget could be extremely customisable. Brokers and 3rd parties could customise the style of the widget according to the design of the clients existing website. The embedding of the widget is simple and easy.
Strategy
Proweb widgets allowed multiple companies to offer vehicle rental bookings from their website without any custom website development. Although this was a large scale project due to the geographical locations of the teams involved, we held regular online meetings with the client and advised them on the best practices forwarded.
